“Finally” is my first solo album released in 2004.

“Finally” is my first solo album that I wanted, dreamed of and had started working more than 10 years before it was released.

Before the 2000s, I composed, arranged, played and directed for jazz artists, r’n’b, international varieties, Caribbean music, advertising music and films… Meanwhile I worked on personal titles because I wanted to propose a more personal project. But, during this period, I did not have time to take care of it as I should, being, also, a father in its own right… 🙂 So, I decided to devote myself exclusively to it by stopping all other productions and venturing into the self-production of this opus. A very dear friend made me meet Marcus Miller in 1995, who has since remained a close friend. Marcus pushed me to concretize this album after hearing the demos of the tracks that year and he even wanted to be part of it by playing in the title “Confians”. At that time, I had a lot of knowledge within the majors but all were afraid to embark on an instrumental jazz album by a French artist/bassist of Caribbean origin. Having to produce and distribute it myself, this album was “finally/finally” released on my birthday in 2004.
